This is a presentation by Wayne May: about an archeological find called the one Michigan plates. They were discovered in 1846

– If we could show the proof of what we want to show you today, it would be greater than King Tut. Items of an ancient culture were found in a cave. (Right: founder of org.) Referencing Mauretania: 300 BC to 44 AD
– A country in the Mediterranean would be compared to Hong Kong today. All races and creeds, cultures and religions mingle and do commercial business.
– Rome had control of everyone except for Egypt and Mauretania.
– The Fahisions played a major role here. After the plyumic wars, the Roman put salt on land to make it infertile
– When censor died land was divided up amongst 7 generals.
– The land of Mauretania was very rich and powerful.
– All lands were controlled by the Romans.
– King of Mauretania dies and his replacement son gets invited to Rome. They killed him. In 44 ad Mauretania collapse. Romans want to get the treasury. Rome did not find gold in the treasurer. So Romans stripped the bodies of the Mauretania’s dead.
– Alexander the Great had his body preserved in honey.
– What are the two most sought after archaeological items in the Mediterranean today?
– Ark of the Covenant
– Alexander‘s coffin
– Mississippi watershed:
– Map has 5 sites of burial
– Burrows cave (don’t know what I missed on this.
– Cave colony people: artifacts dominated from Greeks, Romans, Libyans and other countries. Matching what was in Mauretania.
– 1. People in the cave had knowledge of Christ
– 2. Proof that Christ walked in America. Saw scrolls in pots.
– 3. able to get DNA.
– 3. Access to DNA.
– 4. If we proved this archeology would have to look at all the previous archeology ignored.

The gathering of Israel

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Here are my notes on a church talk. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker. (Title by Melva)

– President Nelson has extended invitations for members to act. On the greatest cause of the earth is the gathering of Israel.
– How are you doing with the savior’s repeated invitation to come follow me? It is an ongoing process throughout our life.
– No more important choice that the seriously follow Christ.
– Nelson says you will not find this process in a manual. The Holy Ghost will guide you.
– We are all in different places of the convenient path. It is not as much as important of where you are on that path but that we are on it.
– When the Savior began his ministry, he was walking by the sea and saw two brothers he called them to be fishers of men. They straightway followed him. This set a pattern of discipleship.
– In order to follow the Savior, they left their ship to follow him. We need to let things go.
– The choice to follow the Savior is more important than the things we leave behind.
– Those first disciples left nets, jobs, home, and family. For us, we might leave a grudge. Mindless hours of screen time, neglected prayer, envy, minimal time in the temple. Or pride.
– Nelson: this endeavor will require you to leave any things of the world.
– This will give you a chance to examine your life meticulously. The Holy Ghost can release you of things that are not important.
– As you move from the world of distractions. You will need to say no to some things.
– As you concentrate your life to the world your spiritual strength will amaze you. Are you ready to be amazed?
– Is there something in your life that needs to be let go of and be left behind.
– As we leave things behind we will create space for things of spiritual value.
– As we begin a new yr. and decade we remember that Nelson said the church if facing a hinge point of the gospel. Consider our personal growth.
Luke 2:52> Christ’s growth.
a. Intellectual, physical spiritual and social growth. It is a pattern to be like the Savior.
b. We have the opportunity to study the book of Mormon. Read it with new eyes and ponder of heart. Study it like you’ve never done before. You will find that you will get nearer to God.
c. There is power in the book to change lives but it has to be opened.
d. We must follow the savior no matter where it leads and the cost. Don’t forget the first disciples who had the strength to let go.

Here are my notes on a church talk. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker. (title by Melva)

– Jan 14 president Nelson completed his 2n’t full year as Prophet. How has his leadership changed the church?
– We need to keep up with temporal things first and then the weightier system.
– Improvements in the building are funded by tithing.
– Church mistering, shortening meetings, sister missionaries can wear pants. Under18 can be temple volunteers, boy scouts gone. 11 yr. old moved to the next level. Use the full name of the church. This shows the work is hastening.
– Are we changing our behavior to meet the hastening?
– We need to make the church is more home-centered.
– We need a daily dose of the gospel.
– We need to counter the philosophies of men that attach through. We need to receive revelations.
– We can’t survive without the influence and guidance of the Holy Ghost.
– Starving deer were trapped. Compassionate people fed them hay in hopes of keeping them alive. The deer stilled died with a stomach full but they died because they lacked their natural diet and their nutrients needs were not met. We can’t live on stray of life we need more substance.
