Influence of the Holy Ghost:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

At church we were reminded of all the great things the Holy Ghost can do for our lives. He is a witness of the divinity and mission of Christ. As a personage of spirt, he has the ability to make impressions on us because he is not restricted by physical limitations. I hope this lesson can be of use to youth ministries, family councils, devotionals and family home evenings.

Object lesson: Microwave, covering, dish rag and a deep bowl of water.
Place a bowl of water in the microwave, put a wash rag next to the bowl. Both should be placed inside the covering. When you turn on the microwave it will boil the water and cause steam to rise from the bowl. The covering captures the moisture and keeps it contained. You will notice that as the steam rises from boiling water the rag gets moist from the steam. It infiltrates the rag with moisture even though the actual water has not touched it.

That is similar of how the Holy Ghost can influence us. It can leave an impression within our minds to testify of Christ. It can also help guide us in understand right and wrong. The Holy Ghost can influence us with impressions of God’s counsel when we seek God’s influence in our decision making.

Just like those who have taken drivers ed. The teacher is our copilot. He or she can be our advisor in telling us how to drive and be safe. He can be our spiritual co-pilot as a part of the God Head of God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. Some may consider the Holy Ghost as our conscience by influencing us to make wise decisions.

Spend time on this topic for your family and class room. Give specific scriptures and examples of how the Holy Ghost has influenced people’s lives. If you have had an experience where you have received an prompting to prayer or got impression to act in a good way, tell that experience. The Holy Ghost is one way God can answer our prayers. The Holy Ghost communicate with our minds and hearts of God message

Medical expenses for your own business:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

A year ago I attended a workshop on investments. Here are some of the things I learned about Medical expenses for your own business.

– S corporation requires no tax on health insurance premiums, but that’s all you get for this type of business.
– C Corporation: you can write off 100% of medical expenses such as premiums, copayments, long-term care, teeth, eyes all the deductible. The average family usually has around $15,000 of medical expenses a year.
– If you want to write off expenses, Congress says US run the business with the correct legal structure, which means a C structure. Here are some suggestions.
– A. You need keywords on your application for the C Corporation, so that you can earn medical reimbursement.
– b. C Corporation helps you avoid the LegalZoom. The IRS resists accepting traders as a business that sees them more as a hobby.
– C. One way to try to sue a company is when a lawyer will ask for the Minnesota Corporation, or where the state medical deductions, etc. is if they see anything wrong. There’s a better chance to judge will vote against you.

What kind of residue are we:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Today’s lesson is on the theme of character. I hope today’s topic can be of use to youth ministries, family devotionals, Sunday schools and family home evenings.

Object lesson:
Collect an onion and a nice quality lotion (one that’s doesn’t leave a film on your hands when you use it.)

Rub an onion on the hand of each class member or member the family. Maybe talk about how a smelly onion can make someone cry when their cutting it or can make people’s hands smell, the smelly onion could be compared to unethical behavior such as stealing, lying, self-centeredness and other negative traits. Discuss how native traits can make it difficult to establish positive relationships, and it can discourage people to be around that person.

On the other hand, of each family or class member, apply the nice quality lotion, even in spots such as the elbow or other parts of the body that are particularly dry. See how the lotion makes a dry hand or elbow can feel better. Note how the skin looks and feels better and does not feel so dry. This healing aspect of lotion could also be compared people who make the world a better place by their actions. Some of this may be done by sharing kindness, generosity, friendship and honesty. Positive people may sometimes put other people’s needs over their own. Think of some good examples of people that provide a positive influence in your lives, either as a class is a family. Talk about the positive aspects that people you admire. Talk about the traits they possess that motivate you to admire them.

Please feel free to use this object lesson in the way you feel would be appropriate. If you have ideas to share this topic, please do so in the comment section this blog.
