In 2013, I attended a workshop on different types of business ventures. Here are some of the things I learned about seven driving forces.

Pareto’s Law 80/20 means that in anything a few 20% are vital in the many 80% of trivial
a small number of causes, 20% account for 80% of the results
20% of the people had 80% of the wealth
20% of the defects caused 80% of the problems
20% of the work in some 80% of your time and resources
20% of what you do produces 80% of the results

Book of Mormon conference, Opening ceremonies:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Last week, I attended the Book of Mormon conference. I learned a lot of delightful things about native American archaeological sites that give evidence of events shared in the book of Mormon. These archaeological sites also gave evidence of the Native Americans were descendants of Israel and that they live the love Moses. The following are my notes from the conference. Any inaccuracies are either due to my note taking, or spelling. The entire conference was very informative. I hope you enjoy reading the things I learned. Thanks.

Madison, MO is a place considered where one of the major Lamanite battles occurred. Also at that location is an entertainment group called the Breets,

In Navoo, while digging up a trench they dug up a gravesite. They stop digging so that the archaeologists could dig up what ended up being 25 different gravesites buried on top of each other in one location.

The River Siden in the book of Mormon, is considered to be the Mississippi.
Middle Woodland is considered to be where the book of Mormon lived.

Ohio has 170,000 archaeology sites currently being worked on.

Only 5% of Illinois archaeology sites is being done.

Hopewell Indians is considered to be descendants of the Nephritis/Lamanites and their ancient archaeological sites are considered to be locations of the Book Of Mormon.

In Columbus, Missouri, there are figures cut out a stone which indicate that the people lived the Law of Moses.

Body language part three:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Here are my concluding notes of a lecture that talked about body language. It was presented by a company named 3 Keys. Here are some of more of the notes I took. The subject of body language has always fascinated me. This information can be useful in giving speeches, writing characters and story telling.

Eyes are the librarian to your mind.
Fingers: when you rub your fingers, it means wife controls his life.
Index finger represents independence.
5:30 5 AM is appointed time to get inspiration. Stay up and 45 minutes and it can help you get your life by making important decisions.
The pinky finger represents health. If someone is pulling at the pinky finger that means illness is coming. You want a quick benefaction.
Improve your chances in the dating scene. With the present, a great deal of energy that makes people want to be around you. Each morning, face the mirror for 20 seconds. Tell the mirror how great you are every morning. Doing this is like preparing for a trip. The positive language to you is like gas in a car. It represents you have a gas for car to travel further or maybe a jet. Speak with your whole body and make comments about yourself. What you say will eventually come true.
If you don’t decide what you want, others will decide for you.
See it, say it, you become it

Broken Crayons:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Today’s theme is inspired by a wonderful quote a friend shared on Facebook. It will make a great topic for an object lesson. I hope these lessons can be of use to youth ministries, family devotionals, and family home evenings.

Quote; we are all a little broken, but last time I checked, broken crayons still color the same.

Object lesson:
Have two sets of crayons, one, from a new package and the second, have a bunch of broken pieces of canyons. Have various pictures from coloring book for all class members or family members.

Have the group color a nice picture with the new set of crayons. Once the first picture is completely colored in, discuss as a group how nicely the canyons helped the pitcher become attractive with color. Next, have the group color different picture with the unbroken crayons. Once the second picture is complete, discuss the similarities of how attractive the second picture looks because of how colorful the picture looks.

Now discussed as the group, how the second batch of broken crayons were able to accomplish the same objectives as those that were not broken. This object lesson may relate to the people who may be handicapped in some areas, but may accomplish many of the same tasks as those who are not handicapped. This might be an appropriate time to discuss the secondhand accounts may not be visible. This might be compared to coloring on white piece of paper with a white crayon.

These broken crayons object lesson could also touch upon the theme that each of us is unique. We each have our own color. Some of us may be blues and reds and browns, but others may be orange and yellow. Just because not all of us are blues does not mean that we can’t add beauty to a picture in a coloring book. Maybe as a class and group we can discuss the different positive attributes associated to various colors. Then as a family or class, have the group point out a specific positive trait of each member.

If you have other ideas on this object lesson, please feel free to share it in the comment section of this blog.

Body language part 2:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

I went to a lecture that talked about body language. Here are some of more of the notes I took. The subject of body language has always fascinated me. This information can be useful in giving speeches, writing characters and story telling.

Legs represent balance board. The stand on one leg a lot depicts that your life might not be balanced. Practice standing on both legs. When people stand on both legs. They depict strain.
If both feet are facing they are interested in what you have to say. If one foot is facing away toward the door. They plan/thinking of leaving.
Conversation between couples: a finger on the mouth. When they can’t say it. They make the salad fingers on the mouth as if holding back and say something. It’s a partner is not permitted to speak. They feel that their opinion is not valued. For a guy he will usually rubbed his back, rather than put a finger to his lips. You can eliminate a lot of problems in the relationship by observing your partner’s language.
Shaking hands: is a chance to connect body space. If you want to create a neutral space with someone new, shake their hand exactly like they shake hands. Do not trust him enough of hand. As someone turned your hand under theirs during a handshake is using a sign of dominance over you. Twisted back to that you can show that you not subservient.
1 to 2 seconds of hand shake and will make you more memorable. Look for yourself. Reflection and the other person. I have just a moment. It helps you keep connected. Females can pop another female’s bubble zone with a hand on the shoulder elbow.
We need to govern our own space.
Seven-year-olds are still the age that they want love and support.
We must remove judgment when we observe another’s movements. It is your chance. Ask for?
A person comes that was 650 words to communicate every minute. 600 5050 USC spoken. The other 500 words or contained inside the body in order, released through body language. It’s a subconscious releasing the thoughts of those 500 words and is depicted in movement and wiggle
We make a commitment and close your eyes; it means that they are mentally unconscious and thus the test itself from the problems.

Need to analyze how your money is being used? Ask these questions concerning your business and your home.
1. How much is coming in -(collections)?
2. How much is going (expenses)?
3. How much do you owe payables)?
4. How much is owed to you (receivables)?
5. How much cash is on hand?
need to have these numbers at the end of each week
