Be careful of our distractions:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

I heard an important observation of the Bible reference to Peter walking on water. The scriptures reference three times of the disciples seeing Christ walking on water. Peter asks to join him and Christ reaches out his hand. Peter walks on the water to reach Christ. Then Peter permits himself to become distracted / diverted from his faith because of the storm around him. When Peter fumbles and begins to sink, he called on Christ to save him.

Christ does so and encouraged Peter to have stronger faith.

As we each live to be better Christians this is an opportunity for us to ask ourselves. What are our distractions? Do we concentrate too much of our lives to work, unnecessary diversions, entertainments?

I heard another comment where we show what we value by how much we spend our time with something. If we spend more time on entertainment it shows we value that more than God’s gospel. I can see where I spend too much time on my own diversions over what could better ways to spend my time.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2014:22-33

I invite us to read the verses and then discuss as a family, class or group what each our or diversions might be. Discuss how we can enable God’s help to rededicate ourselves to him and his work.

I was invited by a friend to watch the following documentary. Here are some of my notes. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

  • There is an underground culture with the intent to destroy the United States.
  • If we lose the constitution and power then evil will divide up our nation.
  • The collapse of the USR meant that we no longer had a visible threat of those trying to hurt the US. They are still a current threat.
  • How do communists get new people. Find a common ground even though they disagree with you on communism. Stay friends until they are open to your message.
  • Democrat Socialists party wants a revolution. Their greatest success was having Berni Sanders as a Presidential candidate. In 1960 Sanders was part of the social legacy.
  • Senator Conrad, Joe Biden, Chuck Spencer, Obama were all associated with Radical organizations.

I will use a visual image. The way you RATE if teams can cooperate is by seeing how well they work together. There are two teams, one is two Os. The other is two Es with the word rate in cOOpEratE.

One of the panels at 2016’s Wester-con or was it LTUE (?) was on Collaborations. Here are some of my notes. Any inaccuracies or misinformation in any of these notes is the fault of the note taker.

  • If the collaboration is not working, be willing to walk away
  • Define in the contract who has creative control.
  • You need to work for someone that shares the same stuff as you do
  • Work was someone that has strengths where you are weak and vice versa.
  • Define in the contract that if there is even our unequal work by one of the participants how can that be resolved?
  • You need to respect you author collaboration.
  • If you end up badly was someone who is hard to work with maybe should avoid the collaboration.
  • Both sides need to be answerable to the project.
  • Need to have an author checklist.
  • You can determine one’s interest accrued involved in the project by how quickly they respond to your correspondence.

Abuse of Natives American archeological sites:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

I attended a Book Of Mormon conference / Preparedness Fair and took notes on this lecture. There is a building list of evidence that some Native Americans originated from Jewish ancestry. Here is a list of useful info and some examples of influence people trying to destroy the advanced culture of the native American.

  • Janis Adler Beck 1775 did a history of the American Indian. He felt the Indian was descendants of the lost 10 tries because of tribal traditions and culture.
  • Joseph smith sent missionaries to the Indian nations. Told them that America is a promised land to them. ref: pg. 538 history of the church (check)
  • Certain people in government wanted to classify Indians as savages so they would not have any right under the constitution and thus could steal their land.
  • In Butler Cannery Ohio is a masterfully designed fortification.
  • Alma 24:39 = fortifications
  • alma 53:4 = fortifications
  • Misa missing Mont: was built between 1000 BC to 400 AD.
  • Scientists in 1800 could influence American attitude by defining culture.
  • Constantine Brooks requested the creation of the Smithsonian.
  • Louis Morgan believed in creationism / a theory of evolution.
  • John Westley Powel – used science to define the value of race and to just taking Indian lands.
  • Actions of labeling Indians as savages were the predecessor of the US policy Manifest Destiny.
  • Powel’s father was a Methodist minister. Lived in Primera NY about 1930. (same area as Joseph Smith’s family)
  • EJ Squires is known as the father of Methodist ministries in Fayette NY around 1930.
  • Milford OH = archeological Indian site was destroyed.

Update on state candidates on State sovereignty and globalization:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

The only changes I made on these responses were spelling. If you want to look as these candidates websites or their stand on policies please reference to this link:

http://www.melvagifford.com/2017/05/04/2017-state-republican-candidates/

  1. What do you feel is the responsibility division between the Federal government and state government?
  1. Some individuals feel that nothing is being done at the Federal level because of global influences. Do you feel there are such individuals as globalists in government and how do you feel Utah State could maintain state sovereignty from the globalist influence?

If you get elected, you will in a position of influence and I wanted your opinion on these two topics.

Robert Anderson (State Party Chair)

Yes I do think there are people working within the government who espouse globalist views. I think we work where we have areas of influence; namely, we educate locally to ensure we elect people to represent us in Washington DC who espouse the values we Utahans hold sacred.

Joe Levi (State Vice-Chair)

Hi again, Melva!

The division between the Federal Government and the governments of the several States was clearly understood when the Founders were meeting to replace the Articles of Confederation with what would become our Constitution. The Federalists wanted a strong central government, but one that was deliberately and specifically limited in scope. The Anti-Federalists were vocal objectors, feeling that the Constitution didn’t go far enough to enumerate Rights and limit the power of the Central Government. The Federalists felt the proposed Constitution was sufficiently limiting to the Central Government and that the Anti-Federalists concerns were unwarranted. Nonetheless, to secure ratification, the Federals worked with the Anti-Federalists to incorporate the Bill of Rights to further clarify (and specifically enumerate) Rights and Powers to the States and to the People – the Tenth Amendment being the catch-all.

Over the years the Federal Government has assumed more power than they was provided to it through the Constitution. If something isn’t specifically written into the Constitution, it falls to the States or to the People – from health care and education to environmental protection and marriage.

The frustration with the Federal Government not “getting anything done” can be seen as both a good thing and a bad thing. When viewed through the lens of the Constitution, the Federal Government doesn’t have a lot that it SHOULD be doing.

It’s important to maintain a friendly relationship between the States and the Central Government, but States must do more to re-take what Rights and Powers were rightfully delegated to them in our Constitution. We have long been seen as the “Global Police Force” and meddle in the affairs of other countries under the excuse of “stabilization”. While we need to be conscious and aware of the circumstances and conditions of our friends around the world, we need to first take care of ourselves, and then be open to the requests of our friends. To me this is no different than individual responsibility: as a person, I need to first take care of myself (food, water, hygiene, exercise, education, etc.), then I take care of my wife and family, then I can voluntarily help my extended family and community. This same approach not only works on the larger scale, it’s arguably more efficient than the bureaucratic waste which plagues our Government today.

Don Guymon( State Vice-Chair)

Thank you for your questions.

1) The division between the federal government and state is outlined in the US Constitution.  The Constitution gives the federal government specific duties (for example national defense).  Any duty not given to the federal government in the Constitution should go back to the states.

I believe the state of Utah should exercise more sovereign control.  I wrote about this a couple of years ago:  https://www.utahpoliticohub.com/utah-needs-to-move-beyond-10th-amendment-saber-rattling/

2) Our politicians should do all we can to make our state and nation as strong as possible.  I have opposed the United Nations on many fronts because we surrender sovereign control.  I also believe this to be the case with many trade agreements we have signed.  While I do not oppose free trade, I do oppose when we give up our sovereignty to a foreign agency to dictate what we can do in our country.

If you have any further questions please contact me.

Joni Crane (State Vice –Chair)

Good questions, first I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people and for the people, who’s powers are derived from the consent of the governed. A democracy IN a Republic, a Sovereign Nation of many sovereign states, one and inseparable. A perfect union.

Yes, I believe political globalization and its supporters exist. I believe one of the main goals of political globalization is to create a decline in the importance of the nation-state and to give more power to organizations like the United Nations. These same people would like the US to follow international laws that supersede our constitution. I will never support usurping U.S. sovereignty and I will never support candidates who would push this agenda.

I am running for vice chairman of the Utah Republican Party and as such would be in a position to help facilitate our delegates in their selection of nominees who support the ideals and values of our platform. The platform very clearly states that we support state sovereignty. If you haven’t seen the platform I’d be happy to bring one to Convention for you. Thank you for your questions. Give me a call if you have questions. My phone number is 830 308 7380 and my website is JoniCrane.com

  • A CX: has a way to sell your audio version of the book on Amazon.
  • If you do it yourself use Odyssey to record yourself.

  • Go to an audio store to buy a good quality microphone. Might have to pick up the pattern.
  • Speak to the left or the right of the Mike not directly at it.

Essential oils information:

I went to a book of Mormon / emergency preparedness conference and here are some notes on oils. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

There are no standards for Therapeutic

  • France is the only country that has established a standard. They were identified 6 to 10% of oils and were used for. And also 6 to 10% composites.
  • Marspectograph: means to break part oil components.
  • You should use the oil that feels right to you. Different oils respond to different people in different ways.
  • Apply neat (just oil by itself such as olive oil or coconut, grapeseed etc.) to help distribute the pure oil. The coconut oil will dry faster. You do this by putting a little oil in the palm of your hand and then adding the essential oil. This will give the skin time to absorb the oil.
  • The neat is a carrier that aids in the oil absorption
  • If skin is hotter irritated may be an indication that the particles or to bid for easy absorption and a carrier can usually help.
  • Oils infiltrate the keyholes of the cells
  • People react to oils the neutron add too much go slow.
  • If you put oil on the feet that dentist if you set the entire body and Evidence is shown
  • The residue of the oil appears on the tongue in about 20 minutes.
  • Diffuser: you can put oil on a cotton ball and put it in a Ziploc. When you breathe in the oil is quickly absorbed into the body.
  • Deliverance oil: is good for flu germs.

  • She said that oil should not be swallowed. (Check).
