Spelling coincidence

Good: coincidence

Bad: coinstance

I get the first coin and the end nce correct. It is the middle cide that I mess up on.

Well, it might be a coIncIdEncE that there are two Is and two Es.

That’s the only thing I can think of. We’ll see if a better mnemonic comes along.

These are from the writer’s conference of life the universe and everything. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

  • Make sure they are not all same race and same face. Maybe present a variety of cultures.
  • Don’t accept the first thing you come us with.
  • History, why they are with each other
  • In Lord of the Rings, in order to keep the 12 dwarfs unique, they all had different beards, hairstyle and clothing. One dwarf had a lot of round visuals. Another dwarf’s clothes were very textual and interwoven.
  • May have different cultures in your in a city.
  • Body stance depicts personality.
  • For Disney, their heroes and heroines characters are round. Villains are angular and sharp edges.
  • Men eyes brows are close to the eye then woman.
  • A makeup class can teach you about the face.
  • Skulls and bone structure can also make people unique

My continued notes from my weight control class.

  • For weight loss exercise 90 min a day
  • Add variety to your exercise otherwise, your body gets used to the current exercise. Increase exercise at a faster pace, larger tilt in the treadmill. Build intensity. If you don’t increase the intensity then increase the time.
  • Some people will exercise a twice a day.
  • If you can’t exercise one day, then work extra another day to keep 150 min goal.
  • Unload the dishwater and put them away one at a time and did squat when putting away each dish.
  • Others will exercise their arms with band stretches while exercising.
  • Watch a favorite TV show and used cue cards and curing the commercials would play a card and a certain type of card and do three types of exercise for the number three.
  • If you don’ see your weight loss take heart on how better our close fits better.
  • Exercise with a buddy provided accountability
  • My fitness pal can help you monitor how much exercise burns calories.
  • You can start to see you are getting stronger.
  • Maybe track inches and not just your weight.
  • Use monitoring and counting as a tool not make you beat yourself up about.
  • Low fitness is a significant factor in an early death as well as smoking, high blood pressure diabetes and high cloistral.

How to be covenant holders in the real world

Notes from church.

  • Do what we can to remember our covenants.
  • Remember why God provides those covenants.
  • Covenants are a promise of God to give us all our blessings.
  • A convenient is a sacred promise of God. God fixes the germs. Follow the covenant you obtain the blessing upon what the covenant is predicated.
  • D&C 130:20-21;
  • When God makes a convent it shows us we can follow his law we can obtain what he has.
  • God sets the standards and the reason for a specific reason.
  • Covenants mark the path back to god.
  • Saving ordinances are combined with covenants. Baptism has the weekly blessing of the sacrament.
  • Priesthood takes the oath and covenant of the priesthood.
  • Receive the temple endowment for those ordnances we obtain covenants to obey God’s laws.
  • Follow the Christ, live commandments, follow God’s will. Live so that the spirit will be with us.
  • How to remember the covenants: some may be do, a To-do list and include covenants. Use pictures for important events like a picture in front of the temple. Got to use is so as to now lose it.
  • What tools do we have? The garment is a symbol of covenants. Going to the temple as we world for the dead. The sacraments weekly have daily scripture study and prayer.

  • James 1:21 or 22: (maybe)
  • How is our life different when we follow covenants?
  • Elder Palmer: rich young man what we do to inherit eternal life. Give to the poor and follow me. The lad did not do it.

Screenwriting and scriptwriting:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

These are from the writer’s conference of life the universe and everything. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

  • Pro writing: can take a long time to describe a scene. In a screenplay is filled with action and dialog. What it feels like and why a character is in that room/ world.
  • The audience for your scripts is actually the different heads of departments.
  • If you need a diner include details of what is essential to building the scene: is it a busy dinar or only a few people.
  • Never go more than 3 lines to describe something.
  • Your descriptions will influence which actors apply. If the detail is not important, such as long facial hair, then leave it out.
  • You are writing for people who watch the movies at home.
  • Your script needs to be a concise story,
  • Keep everything visual. Behavior is shown by body language and maybe their behavior.
  • Actors like having a subtext such as his eyes shift.
  • Let the actors decide upon their actions.
  • Always sow and don’t tell. If tell use sub textual dialog. A character says one thing to share an emotion without the character having to explain it. An example: you had me at hello.
  • If have a confrontation scene. If one asks, “how are you?” The other may say, “I’m fine.” Yet prior to them saying it, they shift in their chair which may indicate a different response separate from their words.
  • In the color of water: poster has a couple floating under water. She is wearing a red dress. She has lost a shoe. It is floating in the water below her foot. Does it have symbolism? What mood does it present?
  • Know who your audience is. Who is going to be reading your scripts? For certain scripts, it may be Females between the ages of 25-45.
  • Formatting-why is it important. If is it not correct, your script will be quickly abandoned. Final draft is the industry standard. One example of formatting for scripts is Scene header interior/exterior.
  • Learn the mechanics of writing a screenplay.
  • Where we are: in the diner. Is it day or night
  • Celtex or Scrivener is free software to write scripts:
  • You need to read other scripts to see how they present their scripts. One source is http://www.imdb.com/
  • See how those scripts introduce their scenes and show actions etc.
  • Need to have other people read it so they can catch things you’ve missed.
  • Some fundamentals of screenwriting: character interactions. the story must be driven by the protagonist ’s circumstances.
  • What are the stakes?
  • World building decided on the rules and stick to them.
  • TV shows and other complex projects will have a Bible. It contains backstory. It had anything that can define the limits of what themes the series will cover. Will contained detailed of the character’s pasts. Maybe even journal details presented in the show to keep track for later reference.
  • Documentaries: usually shoot the scenes first and then add the script.

My continued notes from my weight control class.

  • Target weight is what we shoot for don’t shoot for under. Otherwise, it puts you in starvation mode.
  • Try not to do half your celery goal in one meal at night.
  • Drink enough water so you are not as hungry. If you think you’re hungry drink water because thirst is what is usually makes you think you’re hungry.
  • Why good:
  • Help with joints.
  • Clears the mind, mental health
  • Let go of the tress.
  • Exercise can help avoid altimers. Told protein shakes can also help with altimers.
  • Burns calories and helps in weight management.
  • Tones body.
  • Help you feel strong.
  • With diebidies or high blood sugar exercise helps bring in blood sugars and lowers you count.
  • When exercise one person never gets sick. If you feel ill but not bad, then still exercise. It’s better to stay in the habit.
  • Exercise helps boost the immune system.
  • People who are overweight or obese but who are fit are less inclined to not die than someone who is thin.
  • Being fit is more important than weight.
  • Goal to exercise 150 minutes a week (30 min a day)
  • Weight maintenance is 60 min a day

Notes from Church.

  • Time of Christ’s atonement:
  • 194: hymn there is a green hill far away.
  • This touches upon Christ’s sacrifice.
  • The first day entered on a donkey. It was a fulfillment of prophecy.
  • He cursed a Fig tree that had no fruit. One may ask why? Maybe because the tree was pretending what it was not? Christ had the power to take away and give life.
  • Went to the temple and cleansed the temple. 3 yrs. prior drove the money changers out. He refers to the temple as my house. Three yrs. ago he referred to it as my father’s house. When unrighteous things are being done, it becomes your house.
  • There were many miracles. And the leaders became jealous.
  • Third and fourth day, the leaders asked questions trying to trick him.
  • He taught sermons and parables.
  • Herodians were followers of Hared. Asked who we serve. Show me the coin. Give what is Caesars to Caesar and give what is God’s to God.
  • Pharisees and Satrapies asked questions trying to trick him.
  • Thursday night had Passover supper. Went to the garden of Gethsemane.
  • Went to trials: Christ was charged with blasphemy. Took to pilot. Changed to treason from blasphemy. Pilot sent to Hared. Hared sent back to Pilot. Get one prisoner free. A murder was freed.
  • Christ willing to set aside his own desires the desires of the father. He follows the will of the Father.
  • Trust in God can strengthen us.

Some candidates don’t have an issues page on their website. Here is mine:
Limited Government
I support a return to limited government under the U.S. Constitution. We must cut federal spending and balance the budget. The federal government should not be involved in universal health care, education, housing, and welfare. Let’s return power to the States and the people.
Constitutional Rights
Our nation was founded on the self-evident truth that all people are endowed by God with the rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. The proper role of government is to protect these rights, so the people can govern themselves.
I support the unborn child’s right to life. To protect life, we must de-fund Planned Parenthood and appoint judges who will overturn Roe v Wade.
I will oppose all government efforts to infringe on our Constitutional rights, including our 1st Amendment rights to free speech and religious freedom and our 4th Amendment right to privacy.
I support our God-given and 2nd-Amendment-protected right to bear arms for protection against crime and tyranny and will not support any gun control measures. I favor personal responsibility and encourage individuals to protect themselves, their families, and their communities through safety preparations and training and concealed or open carry.
National Defense
I support a strong national defense, in the tradition of President Ronald Reagan, and a foreign policy of non-interventionism, as established by President George Washington. Our military must be strong enough to deter all threats, but we should stay out of foreign wars, unless waged in defense of our nation and our allies.
Health Care Freedom
The federal government should not be regulating our health care decisions. Allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines and removing coverage mandates is the best way to reduce premiums and improve options and services. We must fully repeal ObamaCare and return to the long-lost days of free markets in health care and insurance.
Illegal Immigration
I support legal immigration reforms that will open America’s doors to the best and brightest who want to work, study, and live here, while keeping out terrorists and criminals. Our current chain migration and visa lottery programs should be replaced with a merit-based system.
I support securing our borders with a wall, where needed, and a fully-funded and staffed Border Patrol. We should aggressively enforce our border and employment laws and cut funding for sanctuary cities. I oppose amnesty for those who have entered or remained in our nation illegally.
Public Lands and Energy
I will fight for the return of our public lands to State and private ownership. I support multiple uses of our public lands for recreation, ranching, drilling, and mining and will oppose restrictions on access to our natural resources. We can achieve energy independence by opening up our lands to responsible uses.
Education
Parents should control their children’s education through school choice options at the local level. I oppose ESSA (and Common Core) and will work to de-fund it and to eliminate the federal Department of Education.
Religious Values
I support prayer, traditional marriage, and the right of all people to practice their religion as they believe fit within the constraints of the law.

Issues: These are questions delegates are wanting to ask the candidates when they meet them. We are on a shared page to discuss candidates.

  • recent spending bill
  • been for or against SB54?
  • you think about the Department of Education?
  • “War on Drugs”?
  • stand on immigration? DACA? Building the wall?
  • what prepares and qualifies you as one of 100 US Senators, and one of only 2 representing Utah?
  • How about questions that discover the character of the candidate, his/her integrity to Consttutional principles, how they make decisions. Can they handle stress? Do they surcome to group thinking or are they principlabled. What are they willing to compromise in order to get what they want?
I asked Michael S. Lee a question once that I think encapuals all of these. It is this: Tell me of a time in your life that you had a difficult decision to make. What principles did you use to make the decision and what process to come to a conclusion? What was the result?
  • What books or other materials have you studied that have shaped your political philosophies?
  • The Gainful Employment Act
  • “why are you running for office” (hoping for specifics as to problems you would like to remedy versus a general politicians response)
  • What are your views about them?
  • candidate’s reasons for not participating on this page and Mitt Romney’s reason in particular
  • if you could wave a wand and make our tax system however you want it
  • raising the federal minimum wage.
  • thoughts on medical cannabis?
  • Many times in deliberative bodies, one is confronted with a choice between voting their principles by either: 1) sticking to their idea of a “perfect” scenario and not budging on a proposal that falls shy of that; or 2) voting for a “partial win” by compromising with a proposal that at least allows their position to be partially influential in a vote, particularly when recognizing the majority won’t support a “perfect” scenario. In the former, the elected representative stands firm for an absolute value. I’m the latter, the representative realizes some success albeit partial, but is able to still maintain influence.
  • Which way would you describe your philosophy when approaching votes in a body of broad representation (1, 2, or another)? And how would you present your constituency’s wishes if in the minority during a vote?Article V Convention? And why?
  • Do you feel term limits would be a good or bad thing for House and Senate representatives?
  • Why do YOU deserve a taxpayer-funded paycheck and retirement?
  • What would you do to make the current job market and jobs available to Utah residents more appealing to keep good people from leaving our state for “greener pastures”?
  • If you had to choose between keeping all current planned parenthood locations open OR closing ALL planned parenthood locations which would you choose?
  • Are you in favor of a national E-varify law?
  • What are you going to do to make sure the BLM is working for Utah residents and not federal or outside special interest groups?
  • Before Obamacare, we were able to use our HSA to purchase over the counter medication. What are you going to do to return Americans health care freedoms to pre Obamacare levels?
  • In your 2002 gubernatorial campaign, you said on camera
  • “I think people recognize that I’m not a partisan Republican, that I’m someone who is moderate, and my views are PROGRESSIVE”
  • Do you still consider your views as progressive?
  • What is going to convince us you aren’t just telling Utah’s what they want to hear?
  • Do you believe in anthropogenic global warming?

Notes on candidates:

Lisa’s notes on Mitt Romney: https://lindon04precinctdelegatepoliticalponderings.wordpress.com/2018/03/25/meeting-mitt

tyler: several

Interesting “Meet the Candidates” event at Layton High this evening! It was really a great opportunity to ask some questions and hear some answers from the candidates. Mitt Romney gave a great speech and is certainly a viable choice as a candidate with political clout and connections that would do well for Utah. While I support his approach and stance on limited federal government overreach and empowering the states, his integrity is in question a bit for me. Mitt spoke such inflammatory things about Trump during the election and then interviewed for the Secretary of State position in Trump’s administration. Romney’s campaign also illegally obtained state delegate contact information ahead of other senate candidates as ousted by the UTGOP after all candidates made an oath of some kind to be fair. I am also really liking Mike Kennedy, a humble physician with some good ideas and relevant experience he could bring. Mike kind of reminds me of Senator Mike Lee when he ran. Thoughts?

Sylvia: notes on mitt:

Want to know how Mitt will govern? Here’s how he governed in Massachusetts? 1) Mitt instituted a health care plan for his state which was endorsed by Hillary Clinton,Ted Kennedy and Planned Parenthood which Obamacare was modeled after. It did increase access to insurance and health care to the insured but reduced access for the remaining uninsured. Also, health care costs greatly increased under Romney care and continued to skyrocket. Before, costs were $1 billion and in 2014 Massachusetts overall health spending jumped to $54 billion. 2) Mitt signed a $50 tax-subsidized abortion bill 2 years after he said that he was pro-life. 3) Mitt increased taxes and fees by close to a billion dollars and opposed the Bush Tax-cuts. 4) Mitt supported the McCain-Feingold “campaign finance reform”, McCain-Kennedy “comprehensive immigration reform” and parts of the McCain-Lieberman “carbon cap and trade” bill. This list is just a few of his liberal stances. Mitt is no conservative by a long shot.
