Spelling legislators

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Good: legislators

Bad: leglators

I get the front ‘leg’ and the end ‘lators’ correct. It is the middle that I keep messing up. How about this? I need to remember the IS. What are the two things that may influence a legislator to be one? They want Influence and Salary.  Thus remember Leg-IS-lators.

My continued notes from my weight control class.

–          Frosted mini-sheets and put in a zip lock

–          Some may have someone hold the bag of treats.

–          Some people eat really fast. And people don’t have the time to feel the full sign.

–          Get the take-home box as you get the meal and divide it up. Early in the meal.

–          Track your meal before you eat. Treat it like your checkbook and see what your balance is.

–          Have a breakfast so that you don’t feel famished later in the morning and hog the food.

–          Food journals make us more aware of what we are doing and to monitor our actions that may lead to what leads up to those behaviors.

–          We have the temptations to put thoughts and attitude into other’s minds that they may not feel about us.

–          My fitness pal: software

–          Motivation is an influence on our behavior. We need to choose a strong motivator one may think just to be skinny is a motive but a strong motivation is wanting to be around for your kids.

–          Reinforcement: we do think for what it gives us. An example: want to spend more time with your family. maybe get involved in preparing the meal and you can still achieve your eat goal and involve them preparing the meal.

–          If it is a bad behaver we need to see how to stop the chain. Ident a behavior you want to change next week and fill out behavior chain for next week. Put in all the triggers that lead up to that behavior.

–          How can you break that chain?  There is a list of alternative to eating.

–          One may walk the dog instead of eating ice cream

Difference between physiologically and psychologically

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

I get these two mixed up a lot. A friend had to remind me of their correct use.

Physiologically related to the body

psychologically related to the mind?

Here is a weird way to remember but it might help.

Physiologically  = Si as sounds like see and see is done by the eyes of the body.

psychologically = Ch might be related to the cerebellum which is part of the brain or the mind.

We’ll see if this can help me keep the two apart.

The atonement of Jesus Christ

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Notes from church.

  • Way to understand the atonement is to learn about the life of Christ.
  • God prepared a way for us to be resurrected and return to him.
  • Through the atonement, we will see our departed loved ones again.
  • We are offered eternal life.
  • Isiah 53: 4: born our grief. Wounded for our transgressions. Lord laid on us the iniquity of us all.
  • Christ fulfilled the requirement of justice with mercy by acting in our stead.
  • God will help us accomplish to fill in our gaps when doing tasks he wants us to.
  • Vocal point group: I stand all amazed https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?fr=yhs-wajam-brwsrex&hsimp=yhs-brwsrex&hspart=wajam&p=Vocal+point+group%3A+I+stand+all+a+amazed#id=2&vid=791ab8aee30ef44faecdabf946364b7e&action=click
  • Someone may think of how their sins have contributed to the suffering Christ. And will try to prevent doing sin to contribute the less to Christ’s suffering.
  • There would not be any Christmas without an Easter. Otherwise Christ would have just been another baby
  • D&C 46:13-14 some know of Christ, for others, it is given to believe.

Difference between borders and boarders:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Borders: the edge of a land that separates one country from the next. I think of the first part of the word being 4 letters like a box. And things are contained in a box. People are contained in the border of their country. We’ll see if that helps me remember this.

Boarders: People who rent room and board. Maybe remember that this word has more letters and may match to the image of many boarders staying at a hotel.
