The true nature of God

These are notes from a church talk. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.
– Joseph Smith said (paraphrase) “I looked up the sun the glorious luminary of the sun and the moon falling in the heavens and the stars in their courses.
– All things bear testimony of the power of God (paraphrase)

– A young missionary was talking to missionary president we should not teach about joseph smith. Mission president says look at the first vision, what do you see?” The missionary answers “I see Joseph Smith.” The mission President says, “Look up.” We see God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ”
– God wants us to know him.
– A true parent loves deeply and will make sacrifices for his children’s welfare. Heavenly Father did that by permitting the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ.
– Give his children time and space to learn on their own.
– A proper parent gives proper boundaries to by age to give children safety.
– God makes an effort to get us to know him sent his son Jesus Christ. He is created in God’s image. He stood in the place of Heavenly father. Loving and forging.
– For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son. John 3:16-17
– In this world of constant change, it is nice to have a Heavenly Father who is the same yesterday today and forever
– Holland: he knows our circumstances, he knows your prayers. He knows your hearts and dreams as well as your frustrations.
– God cherishes us eternally as children of his spirit. He is concerned with our happiness and safety.
