Notes on success by Bob Kittell:

I attended the get motivated seminar and took notes on various motivational speakers as well as people selling the product. Here are some comments by Bob Kittell. Any misinformation or misquotes is the fault of the note taker.

  • Success is when I get up when I am not down.
  • You become what you think about most often.
  • Be the student and find the teacher.
  • He gave a presentation on how to remember the original United States colonies. I’ve modified some of the mnemonics since I can’t remember the original ones (ha ha) but these are fit for me better anyway. I don’t think he did all 13 but here are some of them.
  • Delaware: the door is covered with deli sandwiches
  • Georgia: George Washington climbing a tree
  • Pennsylvania: the exit sign above the door is made out of pencils
  • New Jersey: the speaker on the stage is covered with the New Jersey college jersey.
  • Connecticut: envision the stage being cut up with a series of scissors.
  • Massachusetts: envision a very large person dropping from the seething down to the stage shattering the stage.
  • Don’t encourage others to follow your footsteps unless you’re willing to walk.
  • When you shine you give others permission to shine.
  • If you’re in a hard space, you are at the point of the next inspirational story.
  • As yourself who’s life can I change today?
  • There are three types of action: make things happen, watch what happens, what happened
  • You just need to change the right thing.
  • Goal: in the next 24 hours think of one thing in your life that you can let go of IE resentment etc.
  • Goal: think of one person you do something nice to/for.
