I recently attended a Book of Mormon evidence conference. I listened to a number of panels that gave archaeological evidence of where certain things could have occurred in Northern America that matched the Book of Mormon. It was a great conference. I’m sharing my notes in my Teaching Embellishments blog as it’s a great topic.
The Nephies lived the Law of Moses, and there were very specific plans and animals that need to be used for the ceremonies. No exchanges could be made, and only North America has all the animals and plants needed to live the law. There is only one in South America.

Seek out the article/book called A Relic written by Timothy Jenkins in 1883. It talks about a container that was considered holy by Indians that a guy got permission to open up and inside of it was script that had Jewish language written on.
