My company shares videos and workshops to help us improve our skill sets. this info is by Daniel Ryan from company Journey. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

  • Active listening and nonverbal is the process of doing less.

We do a meditation process to remove any unnecessary noise in our environment.

  • We can move aside the sounds and distractions we don’t need to process or listen to.
  • We show more by body behavior, how we dress, and expressions.
  • Make yourself comfortable. sit or lay down and support your back with a straight spine.
  • Close your eyes and start with a deep cleansing breath. Do several breaths. 3rd breath exits all the air out of your lungs.
  • Connect to effortless listening now.
  • Feel a wave of relaxation that offers a sense of yourself.
  • Ats the next breath expels twice as long. notice any thoughts, ideas, opinions, and self-talk that we don’t need to listen to right now. see thoughts as clouds floating away.
  • Imagine yourself in a beautiful theater with other people. make yourself comfortable on the big screen you see your subconscious. You’re walking in the neighborhood. You can see your body language as relaxed and calm as you walk. you fill a sense of clarity and are energy balances.
  • You study the details of hands, and feet Offer a little smile.
  • You enjoy the lovely images of your moving meditation. feeling the ground beneath your feet.
  • Do a couple of more deep breaths.
  • Notice yourself in a scene talking to a family member or coworker. You see yourself interacting with him/her. You hear their voice, cadence. without having to focus on the words. imagine how they might express concern or another emotion.
  • See how easy it to see their story or tone, emotion in sounds. noticing any assumptions there too, so we don’t have our own ideas before learning of theirs.
  • You participate in active listening to natural sounds around you. you are watching and listening to nonverbal communication such as facial expressions, eyes, shoulders, posture, body language, and tone of voice. notice what it looks and feels like.
  • Take some more, deep breaths.
  • Whenever you’re ready, open our eyes.
  • What did you notice?
  • See how you can remove energy and remove attention on things that can be removed.
  • Listen to how things are being said. enjoy the lovely images of your moving meditation. feeling the ground beneath your feet.
