Query Letters that Worked

  1. Introduction > why you chose to pitch to them.
  2. Hook/ or pitch. Hero + goal + obstacles = Theme or take away
  3. Bio a marketing info > relevant experience publications, writing or experience in subject matter. Paid memberships whose investment in hour craft o awards or accolades you don’t have to apologize being knew
  4. Polite sighed off> you can mentioned other manuscripts on request. (Recommend you have 2/3 additions books.

Over all tips:

  • Use the voice of your manuscript. Words that convey the feeling or tone of your manuscripts.
  • Type your query like your manuscripts. Let it sit and then revise read it out loud red it again, print it out and see what it looks like on paper. Ok for places where it does not sound or look right. Send query letters to your critique groups. They can tell you if it does a good job representing our story. They can tll you if they want to read your manuscripts from your query.
  • Make every word count, use the best words, and revise down the one tone that are necessary.
  • Make sure names are spelling correctly.
  • Go through spelling and grammar check.
  • Send it.
