Utah County Fraudulent Elections Meeting

About two weeks ago, I attended a meeting where Utah county wanted to prove the integrity of their elections. The meeting hosted by John Daniels who is Utah county clerk/auditor. They wanted to combat citizens who feel that elections in states are often fraudulent. This includes Utah. Any misinformation of these notes is the fault of the note taker. This is a submission to caucus corner.

 

2020 voting:

  • The Utah county auditor overseas Election auditor audits the elections.
  • The high number of ballots in drop boxes hint that voter turnout will be a historic high.
  • A high number of people used county ballots.
  • Team is making an effort of transparency on Utah county voting.
  • There are 29 counties in Utah. Ways of voting are very similar. They follow federal and state law
  • The Federal government monitors rights.
  • The state determines how we do election.
  • I think this line said that the software ‘Equestion’ was used for Provo elections. Old voting machines (controlled by devote) were being end of life. The software company Dominion took over the support of old devices.
  • Ess software is largest by market vender of elections. Dominion was the second most used by votes.
  • The Utah Legislators paid part of cost for voting .
  • Each county choose which software vender to use.
  • Ballots are sent 3 weeks before an election.
  • A ballot must be dated a day before deadline to be accepted.
  • Two people come to pick up ballots.
  • Ballots are scanned to make sure a voter has not already voted and to verify signature. If a signature does not match, the voter is notified.
  • Any ballot with a write in is sent to jusidicion to determine the voter’s’ intent.
  • In person voting: use electronic pole vote.
  • A citizen asked how many ballots are returned: Answer: 30 K ballots returned due to a bad address.

Each and every vote:

  • Every voting system has 10 security locks.
  • There are four backups of results
  • A random selection of ballots done by staff
  • How are ballots counted: citizens mark our preferred canidates.
  • Each ballot has a bar code.

Layers of security:

  • Encryption is performed on state ballots.
  • Each event of changing a flash drive is recorded.
  • All flash drives are made in US
  • After each election all thumb drives are erased.

Election process:

  • Federal law determine who can vote. Voters are anyone over 18 who are citizens of the United States.
  • We are one of the first states who track users. If you move, you are remove from the old list
  • An election official must process the data on a voter application. Check driver’s license or social security number.
  • Everify processes all voter application.
  • Election departments check obituaries, those who have moved, and vial records. .
  • Look up the address to see if there is a house at the address.
  • They also track returned ballots.
  • Only those who are serving a felony or in probation, can’t vote.
  • Active registered voter: is one that frequently votes.
  • Returned ballots are marked as inactive voter. That voter won’t get sent a future ballot. You need to vote every 4 years to stay on the voting list.
  • Returned ballots are notified.
  • Absentee voter: if you live outside of Utah you a request a ballot to be sent to a address.
  • Ballot defied by district. Each precinct has a ballot style.300 different types.
  • The company, Ru beck> prints the ballot.
  • It cost 1.5 million to run an election with voting machines. Counting paper ballots costs $10 million for in person
  • Utah county had not paid for their voting since 1980. It has been paid by federal government.
  • 300 k voted in Utah

Signature:

  • The signature we put on our voting applications is compared to the signature on our voting ballot.
  • Get a photo capture of the form to be used.
  • Also can compare the signature of driver’s license.
  • Take a scan of signature on ballot and compare signatures on our file.
  • Auto match process goes to 20 % because they are close. Other 80% needs to be verified by human.
  • Don’t open the ballots until the signature does not match. They’re not opened and counted.

A female staff member could not understand the paranoia about voting integrity. Once I get her name and contact information, I hope to send her an email. It will news articles and YouTube testimonials of people who witness voter fraud. If anyone wishes to have the same list, please contact me privately.
