Inspired ministering

Here are some notes from a church conference or meeting. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

– Ministering is successful when the recipient feels the love of Christ through others. people feel ministry by personal revelation.
– Inspired ministering:

– People feel ministry by personal revelation.
– When saints feel the love of Christ for each other above their self-interest.
– The Holy Ghost guides the caregiver to know how to help someone.
– One lady said that when she is very specific in prayer she gets a more specific answer to my prayer.
– We create relationships with those we serve and when a real need is there the relationships is already established.
– Also when you know someone you already have an idea of the areas they can help.
– Sometimes someone may need help but there has never been a relationship established and it’s difficult to serve them.
– Sometimes God may answer your question through the words of others, or something you read etc.
– One brother ministered to several families. and most of them ignored him and didn’t’ want to be visited. After years of no response, the women suddenly needed help and came to him to take care of a child for a month while she was away. The child spent a week for four different families while she was gone.
– Think of those you minister to. Seek the spirit on how you can minister.
– August 2018 ensign has an article about ministering.
– We no longer have lessons but we have the chance to use our personality and promptings on how to help others.
