Sabbath days

Here are some notes from a church meeting. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

– Consumption of tide pods.
– Many do it because they are challenged to do it or see others do it.
– There are worldly things that could bring spiritual death.
– To keep separate from the world go to the house of prayer and offer holy sacraments. Pay our devotions to the one most holy.
– Honor the Sabbath day.
– Go to sacrament meeting.
– Honor the entire Sabbath day.
– What do you do to come home when you’re not at church?
– Sabbath is a commandment. A day or rest and worship. Set apart by the Lord.
– Keep it holy.
– Joseph F Smith: go not out to seek vain pleasure, prayerful study and think upon the principles of thought and salvation.
– True to the faith: prayer, meditating, studying the scriptures .writing letters. Reading wholesome material.
– Some will avid accessing social media.
– Looking inwardly to see what thing distracts you.
– The more we are committed to commandments the more we will have the spirit.
– We can prepare for the Sabbath day in advance.
– Do our chores on the Sabbath on sat.
– Joseph F Smith: do not overwork on Friday/Saturday to deprive on Sabbath for devotions.
– Saturday is good to pick up all the loose ends of the week.
– How we honor the Sabbath can affect our belief in God.
– As we honor God and Christ on the Sabbath we will get to know him.
– Testimonies can be strengthened by honoring the Sabbath.
– Pray on how you can honor the Sabbath day.
