The 4th article of faith

Here are some notes from church. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

– We believe that these ordinances, the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel] are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
– First, the true nature of Godhead.
– Second, learn about agency. We are responsible for our own choices
– Third, the pivotal role of the savior.
– Fourth, faith, repentance
– Life is not perfect.
– Life is full of up and downs. None of us are perfect
– Elder robin talk: plan of forgiveness talk was not a backup plan but was the primary plan.
– What was lost was found (in his own life)
– What was dirty was cleaned through repentance.
– We learn that faith is like a mustard seed and that if planted, it will grow.
– If you want to find stories of faith, seek out the book of Mormon.
– Alma likened faith to hope. Hope can lead to knowledge.
– Our own faith must be focused in our savior Jesus Christ.
– Through the ordinances of faith, each of us can be made more whole.
– Faith can eventually become a perfect knowledge.
