  • Inca Empire: had great roads. Would have great runners. Two days to go from one end of the empire to the other.
  • Culture is driven by resources like Greek armor. Linen glued together
  • Things like roads are made for the military but merchants take them over.
  • Many empires borrowed technology from other empires.
  • Where roads were built merchants follows.
  • Interstate roads are faster than neighborhood streets and culture centers populate at the exits of the interstate.
  • A bullet train gives people who live 200 miles away from the city the chance to commute in and there is more of a merger between cultures in the city.
  • In order to write you have to read.
