Being our brother’s keeper

Here are some notes from church

  • We make a convenient at baptism. We think it is our selves. It included serving others and it not just about ourselves.
  • Putting on the name of Christ means we serve our fellow man.
  • We have a natural instinct to serve ourselves from a baby’s cry to be fed. We need to overcome our own temptation to serve just ourselves but to also serve others.
  • We need to serve our fellow man without acknowledgment. That goes against the full order of charity.
  • How often have we not thanked God or Heavenly Father for what they have done?
  • Parable: Christ returns to the earth where he will separate the righteous from the wicked. Christ will see righteous, those who fed or helped the needy. Do to others is the same as did unto Christ.
  • Find time and make an effort to serve even when it feels uncomfortable.
  • Even those who disagree with you and your opinions are working the same as us toward eternity and we need to acknowledge their worth and serve them.
