These are from the writer’s conference of life the universe and everything. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

  • Readers want to get to know the person, so will include personal info.
  • Only on a certain day of the week promote an old hook.
  • 80 you share should be about you as a person and 20 should be about your book.
  • Send your book to book reviewers. Publishers may go to reviewers
  • One author (Chris ox?) did review on books. Also did a book in a 21-day challenge. Giving updates on his blog.
  • Don’t want a video to be too long. Maybe 8 min ok. Have a length this is good for a short visit.
  • Watch addiction to social media as it can take time away from your craft.
  • You stop posting and interaction stops
  • You can also do a newsletter
  • Avoid politics and religion. Someone in your audience will disagree with you.
  • You can make a personal reference about your book such as what a friend said about the cover.
  • In one newsletter, an author includes her everyday typos. People have told her that is their favorite section in her newsletter
  • You fans want to know that you and they have something in the common
  • On the back of all her book has all links to social media.
  • You can do a promotion on social media.

Do you have something to add? If you do, please respond in the comment section of this blog. Thanks.
