Church history artifacts:

I attended a Book of Mormon conference in 2016 and here are some of my notes on one of the presentations.  I was able to learn about some artifacts for LDS church history.

  • One of the bodyguards of Joseph Smith was a guy named Noble.
  • 12 Sticks: when the bodyguards brought back Joseph and Hiram’s body and in appreciation had the rough of the oak casket made into 12 walking sticks and presented those sticks to the people that helped bring the bodies back.
  • There was a musket rifle that was made in 1812, similar to what was used in Zion Camp could shoot the 300 yards while the British had muskets to shoot 100 yards.

Do you know about an interesting part of church history? Please share it in the comment section of this blog. Thanks.
