Here are my notes of the speech from Mia love when she spoke at the rally of the Republican Utah conference. I tried to be as accurate as I could and hope I haven’t misrepresented the speaker in any way.

–          We want our children to have the best. We don’t hear about self-reliance today.

–          We should have four goals:

–          1. Get involved in figure out what you want to do. If you don’t stand up lesser people will.

–          2. Know why you’re involved.

–          3. Improve your messaging and power by your personal touch. Here is an example. A 6 yr. old little girl loves baseball.  She knew the stats of the sport. She attended a major game, and she sat near a guy who was impressed with her knowledge. Because that section of the stadium was getting too rowdy the girl and her family relocated. During the game a ball was hit and delivered to rowdy section of the stadium. This guy who the girl previously talked to caught the ball. he then immediately carried the ball down to the little girl. Normally a fan will take the ball and go down to the players to get it signed. Instead, she went back up in the stands to find the guy who gave her the ball and had him sign the ball. Now as adult women she has that baseball on the mantle of her fireplace in the position of honor.

–          4. We can’t do it alone.
