These are some notes I took at a previous symposium Most likely 2013.

–          Be like a normal person.

–          If you’re passionate about what you feel strongly about twitters the best option.

–          Whattepad.com is a way to get readers to read your stories. Send emails to friends invite them to read.

–          On brain.com can establish friendships with other authors.

–          Be nice, people, by who they like.

–          Don’t talk about politics.

–          If you write about a topic in your blog needs to be about that topic.

–          Promoting others will promote yourself.

–          Find your niche.

–          . Fans want only notes and bolts about books. When released, etc.

–          Newsletters can be a new way to reach fans.

–          Create a YouTube channel.

–          Publishers require authors to have social media

–          Promote other authors who use the same publisher. As you. Publish happy with that.

–          Some people are personal on Facebook. It shows that you have a personality.

–          Share how much of you want to share.

–          Develop a character of an author that you would like want to be.

–          Social media is a public face you want to present to the world.

–          Characters in books might have their own twitter or Facebook account.

–          Make sure that your social media doesn’t take away time from your writing.

–          When you’re in the zone. Take advantage of your writing mood. Next tweet someone else.

–          Stay positive.
