Last winter I attended a symposium called Life, The Universe and Everything. Here are the notes from one of the presentation. I don’t recall the author but look up the books mentioned here and you should be able to find out, most likely. since I spelled the book wrong, I’m not certain how it goes. Better spellers may have an easier time.

–        For Small press as for at least 50% of the sale on an e-book.

–        Brigham, distributing of the northern Utah/Ogden is a good distributor.

–        Small publishers will use the offer 25 to 50% on e-books.

–        Tomorrow, go to the 4 o’clock panel by Aaron Patterson.

–        For big publisher an option of the book usually means that you don’t get royalties and until book is in print.

–        Publisher will often include the cover, and editing against the amount that they owe you.

–        Big publisher using give you 10% of the book deals.

–        Sell you e-books for no more than $4.99

–        When you sell a new e-book. All the past e-books you have up online can increase in sales.

–        Walnut Springs is a publisher to check out. The agent is named head is Aaron Patterson.

–        Wattpad.com: Is a place that you can post a draft of your chapters of your books for free and you gain a readership. Many people want to read the book after they read it chapters in it and are willing to pay money. It’s also a good source to get reviews. Put up a chapter a day or week. This is also a good way to get readers to catch things before, it goes to print. I’ve tried this and found no readers. I’m told from another source you need to get people to find your material.

–        Right now Rumpelstiltskin is currently up on Watts pad, go ahead and read it.

–        diary of a Wimpy kid went to fund brain.com and offered free books. And people want to buy more.

–        Some authors sell a lot of books because of Twitter.

–        If you write books that would fit the Jane Austen fans than follow the websites of representing Austin. And they can then follow you.

–        Publishers are using e-books as the new slush pile.

–        Make sure that you have more than one book out.

–        Joe Conrad.com teaches about e-books.

–        Kindle select sells the service of sales where you can give your book for free and get exposure. And when people read your book from the library. You get paid for.

–        Each scene in your book. These have some big happened.
