Some weeks ago, I attended a workshop that gave advice on how to give presentations. I think this information will be useful to storytellers, but also for authors or is someone wants to teach on a specific topic. I hope this will be of interest.

The name of the presenter is Kirk Duncan. Please check out his company called Three Elements.

–        Come in with the attitude of a and open your hands at energy level

–        To gain experience and exposure. Set a goal to give some type of presentation every two weeks.

–        Learn from other successful presenters. Pay attention to how successful presenters use their body and voice when giving a presentation.

–        Set a date for every two weeks and then prepare your presentation.

–        On this presenter, I observed that he will give part of the presentation for free to an audience and then during the presentation. He will offer a more in-depth presentation for a cost. I confirmed that was a technique he followed by asking one of his staff members.

–        Your presentation will be accepted by people, if you always keep in mind to keep the purpose of your presentation is to help those who have come to hear you. As soon as your motivations go to other purposes. It will be noticed by those attending.

–        Keep prices down to help as many people as possible.

–        It’s all about families and making families better.

–        Give each presentation your full effort and/or full energy. Even if there is only one or no one in the room, act as if there are 100 people in the room. Give 100% no matter what

–        Hold the mic like your rock star. When you’re an audience member and you’re giving comments to the presenter.

–        Test different topics. Every two weeks until you find out what area of knowledge you have that others are interested in hearing.

–        The place to advertise your presentations can be a strip malls or just go from place to place, and invite people to come.

–        Develop your skills to give a presentation in person, not just electronically. That way you’re prepared no matter what scenario you have to share your knowledge.

–        The main goal of each presentation is to connect the audience.

–        People love presenters who share personal stories and other stories that relate to the topic of the presentation.

If you have some suggestions on this topic, please feel free to share them on the comment section of this blog. Thanks.
