A couple of suggestions:
1. If your community provides CRT training take it. It teaches you how to rescue people and how to respond in an emergency.
2. Try to recycle the materials in your kit every six months. Some time slots might be the time change or conference weekend.
3. Try a weekend living off only the stuff in your kit and you can find out what you’re missing really easily.
4. Take a first aide course.
5. Have an emergency kit in each car and even a small one at work. if you had to walk home do you have the appropriate coat, gloves and shoes if in winter? maybe a map?
Please feel free to give additional suggestions you have on this topic in the comment section of the blog/site especially if you have some ideas that others haven’t thought of.
