  • Tallegewi name for mount buildings. Second Nephi 12:2 Zion is on top of the mountains. Isaiah 2:2 top the mountain.
  • Mountain means nation; therefore top of the mountains means top the nation.
  • Images on the tablet or match the following solar eclipse occurred July 27, 352 A.D.

  • The tablets use the 16 month calendar

  • The tablet was translated “Yahweh created to pass for you to choose. The rulership of the good, younger Messiah who is bruised in the heel and on the left the rulership of the evil elder. It is proposed that this is about Lucifer and Christ and the war in heaven. Joseph Smith said that Lucifer is the next air. Joseph Smith autobiography said that the lamb was chosen.
  • Revelations 12 Joseph Smith translation, the first two thirds talk about pre-mortal life. The last third talks about his life.

Difference between shudder and shutter:

Shudder is where your body may shake from fear or disgust.

Shutters could be the lattice or grid work that can cover windows.

How to keep them separate? The shuTTers actually look like the grid of shuTTers; thus. remember the TTs.

Good dialogue:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

At Life the Universe and Everything symposium, there was a panel on good dialog. Any inaccuracies or confusion, it is the fault of the note taker.

  • Take out all the unnecessary and as and also cut the grunts.
  • People speak in fragments. Look for the core message and trim out subject and verb.
  • A character who’s highborn might speak formally.
  • Don’t have all the characters sound the same.
  • Read your dialogue out loud
  • Instead of said have a moment of character action. People do a large portion of nonverbal medication and reaction.
  • Instead of detailed response cut down. Example a character’s smile may be more sinister.
  • Dialogue less rather than more. If you have a page of dialogue cut down to a paragraph
  • Characters never say what they mean. There is a movie where character is going to perform a dangerous activity. The wife instead of saying “please be careful and survive” she says, “We need milk.”
  • Everyone has their own agenda. In dialogue they want you to stop talking so they can speak.
  • People who agree are boring. People who disagree are interesting. History between characters can provide conflict. Look at the nine characters in of the Lord of the rings.
  • Different people speak using their own tone, word choice, actions and their agenda behind what they say. For example in the movie store wars one person may want to fight the Empire, Another one doesn’t or they may have an alternative plan to resist other than destroy the death star.
  • We are creating an illusion of reality. Our dialogue needs to be entertaining and interesting.
  • There may be a phrase a character uses a lot. It is their personal phrase for example the author Brandon Sanders starts much of his dialogue with YA. Be careful of overuse for they can also be annoying.
  • In the movie bridge of spies, the Russian uses the phrase would it help. If he did a clearing of a throat that could become annoying.
  • Side characters may be a good way to present annoying attributes as they are not as frequent.
  • Watch a TV show or movie with no sound. And see what you can learn from their behavior or watch to people’s actions at a restaurant.
  • Listen to those around you while you’re eating out. Observe conversations and body language. Seek out what is interesting and unique.
  • Populate your life with people who have interesting stories. To do so, you must make yourself compassionate and generally interested in others. You will find magic in them.
  • Be careful of fancy dialogue that sounds modern

Difference between Complements and Compliments:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Complements means a collection of items that completes a group. It can also mean a full set of something. The complement of trials means that we have Everything to complete the set thus we remember the E.

Compliments are when you say nice things about others.  I remember the I because I and others always like hearing complIment.

Do you have a better idea? If so please feel free to give that suggestion in the comment section of this blog.

Writers’ tools:

At Life the Universe and Everything symposium, there was a panel on writers’ tools. Any inaccuracies or confusion, it is the fault of the note taker.

  • Instead of thinking of the entire book of 100 K word count manuscript, consider writing 40 scenes. Then you think that you need to judge geeks scene to reach its objective.
  • Before you determine what comes next you need to determine what comes first, such as inciting incident. You need to sketch the core story problem. This would be a threat, a hardship, an opportunity, a mystery to solve. The character may be reluctant to pursue the required path
  • To be a problem you have to accomplish any of these, characters and conflict. Anything before is prologue
  • Ride the River: a woman goes to a big city to get inheritance which a bad guy wants.
  • The story needs to resonate with the reader. You want to provide something to the protagonist wants to gain or to retain.
  • Get reaction through emotion, thought, discussions, decision or samples involving the reader in the story.
  • What you are we do now. Emotions are shown by character looking away from something, or the hair rising in the back of the neck. Panic rising through him, or maybe internal dialogue I think I’m going to faint.
  • Narrative detail: a sample of this is in the movie Princess Bride. With the three characters are talking outside the castle and they make their plans. In the end of the scene the big guy says I hope we win.
  • An action goal: an action that gets results. Did we succeed? An example of this is in the Mars movie. Did he get the poop to grow the potatoes?
  • Middle of the book difficulties: this is where you can post a question or surprise. Illustrate opposing goals, opposing characters, personal conflict. Obstacles and environment can get in the way. There may also be cultural limits there may also be lack of abilities or the lack of tools. Difficulties are part of the story juice.
  • Raise questions: TVs will leave the question at the newsbreak to hook the reader to listen the next segment.
  • Character sketch: stress a story and asked what reaction would be a surprise of unexpected from the character.
  • Question to ask. What is cool?
  • What would be realistic?
  • What would be unexpected?
  • Where do difficulties occur?

He sees you while you’re sleeping:

I listened to a great presentation at Toastmasters. It was not only a great title for the subject matter was interesting. The speaker talked about government surveillance.

  • Government can be secretive and has a technology to gather information.
  • A company who is investigating you as a potential employee can look up information about you on social media and see what kind of person you are.
  • Exposure is not always desirable. Google your name and see what others see of you.
  • Read the fine print of a contract.

Addiction class 9, restitution and reconciliation:

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedin

Here are my notes for this week’s addiction class. The topic is on restitution and reconciliation:. Any inaccuracies in my notes are the fault of the note taker.

  • You need to be willing to commit God to remove your defects.
  • If you feel a sense of extreme anxiety (GULP!) during one of the steps. We need to go back to the previous steps and see if there’s something you have not completed all the way. This usually resolves that anxiety symptom of her.
  • Laura talks about the three A’s of family abuse: abuse, adultery, and being an addict.
  • Many of us face the time of our lives when we face extreme sorrel.
  • Extended family will likely need to receive restitution because they have also been affected by the actions of the addict.
  • In the book Mormon is the story of Alma the younger and the sons of Mosiah. They performed excessive sins that motivated many people to leave the church.
  • Be careful not to procrastinate meeting with those that you offended.
  • It is said that the sons of Mosiah perform the vilest sins.
  • Some of those affected by addicts have a hard time accepting their new life.
  • Alma 39:12 – 13
  • Love others and avoid judging the.
  • Be willing to do what is necessary to make amends. Study and understand.
