How to get unstuck

  • Work first, motivation second. dive in without a clear plan to start moving.
  • Start with microtasks. Taking little steps still directs you to your goal.

Body actions to relax:

  • Get in a relaxed status sit. upright position hand on legs or lap
  • Take a breath long and deep to fill yourself with exogen.
  • Return your breath to its natural rhythm.
  • We begin by finding our sense of grounding. feel the sensations of your body. sitting in the chair, feet on the floor etc.
  • Bring the mind to focus by touching different points of the body and sense where you might be holding tension in the body and those areas concatenate relaxing those parts.
  • Start at the top of your head to different parts of the face. see if you can bring a sense of relaxation.
  • Move to the neck and shoulders and concentrate on relaxation.
  • Go down your back.
  • Come around to the front of your body and concentrate on the body to see if there is a tightness in the chest. see if you can allow tightness to dissipate. envision steam of stress rising from the body.
  • Move down to the belly to the hips, thighs,
  • Progress down to the lower legs and feet.
  • Take a moment to breathe coming in and out.
  • Now having relaxed minds and bodies. we might approach life’s stresses with a set of fresh eyes. is there something you have not noticed before that could provide solutions?
  • Is there one step or the first move ahead in a particular circumstance?
