I attended an emergency preparedness workshop and these are notes from one of the presentations.

  • A good herbalist needs to know about 10 to 20 plants.
  • Canfey: accelerates healing, helps wounds, soothing, sore bladder, extracts junk out of lungs, helps externally
  • Pot marigold –calendula = can spread easily in a garden, flowers are important. Anti-bacteria, good for ulcers and shingles.
  • Plantain: all the plant is edible, health listings and bites, wounds, internal bacteria wounds,
  • Coneflower types: immunity then is bites repair quarterly
  • Cayenne: bleeding, ulcers, blood pressure low or high since it adds elasticity to the cell, sinus, good for heart attack, please the long of gunk
  • Gum weed: generally found on gravelly roads, but the sticky, good for bladder infections, wounds, he, it is a good for asthma
  • Lemon balm: stomach ulcers, sous nervous system, good for cold sores
