If you don’t get the job:

I heard some very good advice about job searching tonight. When we go to a job interview, the company hiring is looking for a very specific knife/person. They may be looking for a butter knife or a steak knife. We may not get hired because we are not the specific knife they are looking for. We are knives that will work for other employers who are looking for knives who we are.

So not getting hired, don’t not necessarily mean we ae not a good catch. We are just not the specific brand they’re looking for.

I thought that was good advice to remember.

What piece of advice would you give to someone looking for a job? Please give your feedback in the comment section of this blog.
