The pure fun of Toastmasters

At the fall toastmaster’s conferee I took notes on the virtues of toastmasters by Previous President Michael Natori:

  • Growing while having fun
  • Focus: our energies
  • Undertake to commit. Try to each distinguish objectives.
  • Notice: we grow when we become self-aware.
  • As an international President got to see the club as an international organization.
  • See people develop their skills and advance in other ways.
  • People in prison have a problem with communication.
  • Each club has something unique and fun to offer.
  • Toastmasters can help people realize the dreams in their lives.
  • Different people come into a club for a different reason.
  • Having mentors helped members progress.
  • Consider charting a new club. It involves all our skills.
  • Set a goal of what you want out of this organization. Focus on your goal. Notice and reflect every step of the way.

Do you have something to add? If yes, please do so in the comment section of this blog. If not Toastmasters, what organization has helped you and How?
