Went to a fireside hosted by Gene r Rasmsiesosn , a 70. Here is his counsel about The Atonement.

  • Atonement provides relief from suffering we cause ourselves from sin but also restitution and healing as a result of sin.
  • Matt 18:21-22: how often should I forgive. 7×70. Our very salvation relies upon our ability to forgive.
  • It is our acceptance of the atonement that will save us.
  • Forgiveness is considering the other side of the atonement that will permit others go through repentance.
  • The atonement can heal us from the hurts of others.
  • Mosaic Law: Paul said. That the Mosaic law it is our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. Christ says I come not to destroy but to fulfill.
  • The law of sacrifice: is a contrite heart. It is one component of the Mosaic Law.
  • Restitution: must make up for the damage the sinner causes.
  • Mosaic Law to protect and respond to the heart of extended victims.
  • Ways the atonement employs the restitution
  • Alma 11:44 Promised everything will be restored to its perfect frame. Lord promises us all he has.
  • Forgive others: it a sign of faith in the atonement and promise that the saver’s sacrifice that will satisfy our debt but also others debt.
  • Forgiveness does not mean the sin against but maximize Gods atonement. It makes us whole.
  • Reason we can let get us that that savior makes us whole.
  • The greater harm that is set against us the greater is the atonement.
  • The greater sinner will love the lord more because the greater use of the atonement used on his behalf.
  • Application of the restitution:

  • We are not held acct. for the sins of others.
  • When we think of the atonement we think of our relationship with god. We tend to think of the atonement is related to your sins.it promotes our recognition that the person we have harmed needs to be restored who was hurt from our sins.
  • Our peace comes with the promised to restore the bank account of the people we love.
