Maintaining the Constitution, part A

This is one of the lectures at the book Mormon emergency preparedness conference I attended about a year ago. The topic is on maintaining the Constitution, a presentation by Sharan Anderson. Any misinformation or inaccuracy of my notes is the fault of the note taker.

  • To see how many of the rights we have lost we can compare what live was during the colonial days.
  • Presenter lived a year and a half in Italy. And there was not a sense of hope.
  • Found out that apartment manager who owns apartment cannot keep their own rent. The government gives him a syphon. He gets it if occupied or not. It takes 18 months to evict someone who does not pay rent.

Presenter created the following:

  • Promises of the Constitution. Describe each principle of the constitution from information gathered from multiple thick books. She turned it into a text book for home schools.
  • Ancient Israel, ancient America and the US constitution presentation.
  • DVD, humanism the tap of freedom
  • Constitution topics in video form that are 10 min video presentations on various topics.

How to remain free:

  • During colonization time people grew crops right up to their door.
  • In the 1700 was when the tooth brush was invented. Prior to that people would brush their teeth with snuff which would turn teeth brown.
  • Just invented the steam engine
  • In 1787, 55 men gathered at the Pennsylvania State house to create a new government.
  • Our government created a constitution that helped in creating a country where in 1905, the united states was producing 50 % of world goods, with 5% of the world’s land mass with 5 % of the world’ population.
  • The constitution of our founding has been largely abandoned today. We have a new constitution that has been disfigured by those in office today.
  • What is Government, Government is force. It can force you to do something you don’t want to do.
  • The original government split up duties and control over different parts of government so it can’t be abused.
  • There is a second constitution that has been created by a people to gain power.
