Addiction week 10, Daily Accountability:

At church, we are having a short term Sunday school on addiction. These are the notes for week 10. It was a short class this week. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

  • The apostle Peter believes in walking on water when he sees Christ do it. He fumbles in his faith and the Lord is there to help him.
  • Christ still appreciates the success of Peter’s earlier faith.
  • We need humility to help you maintain the grown you’ve experienced.
  • The Spirit can point you in necessary action and restitution.
  • At step 10 you are ready for a new life.
  • You can feel what you have accomplished in life by seeing how God has influenced your life.
  • The last three steps are maintenance steps.
  • There is a restoring of ‘some’ things that can be restored to some degree. An example is that a parent who has lost their family might be able to have visitation rights.
  • You no longer need to justify your actions. You accept responsibility now and in the future for your part.
  • One member of the group reference a nice poem called the Iron Rod that went into more details of the Lehi/Nephi vision expounding upon Christ’s atonement helping us. The class members found the poem but can’t find the author. It’s a nice poem:
