Colonoscopy Advice

A friend is having a procedure done and a friend gave some excellent advice to when you have to drink the horrible stuff to prepare you for the procedure. I thought I‘d share.

Use a (wide) straw to drink it. This way, it will go down faster/easier/over fewer taste buds. Also get it as cold as you possibly can before drinking it. This helps with the taste and the downing of it. Eat less even before you’re supposed to…less in, less (and more completely) out. You don’t want ANYthing left in there to possibly cover up a polyp or other problem…and finding anything like that is the whole point of the procedure.

Do you have advice on this topic? If so, please share in the comment section of this blog.
