Over a year ago, I attended a seminar on business and one of the topics was on marketing, sales and employees

– You make a bold promise and then deliver it
– Marketing is the promised benefits at your customer gets by coming to your business.
– It’s not the product that attaches the customer to your business; its how you make them feel. How did they hear about you? Who are they? You need to be familiar with your customers. What do your customers want? What do you want? Is there a match between you and them?
– When people think of your business, what comes to their mind? Do you have a purple cow? What is unique about what you do? What do your customers say about you? What do people that refer your business say about you? How do you grow your most profitable customers?

Sales:
– When you meet a new customer, you need to discover what they want and how you can accomplish their desires.
– Your new customer process is the single most powerful driving force for growth.

People:
– For your employees, you need to have the right people in the right roles with the right attitude with the right fit, with the right structure and the right reward.
– The biggest difference between an average business and a great business is the motivation of his people. They’re engaged, inspired and involved with their work.
