Putting a light side on serous topics:

I hope today’s comments can be of use to youth ministries, family devotional, Sunday school and home evenings. Today’s topic is the appropriate use of humor when discussing religious topics.

Religion can often be only a serious topic, but there are times when using humor can be more effective in making a thought provoking comment than being always serious. On Facebook I saw a photos number of signs in the front of churches. Each has a thought provoking idea: but what I especially like was the use of humor.

These are some delightful thought provoking ideas. Sometimes when we teach with humor it can often share an idea more easily.

Here is another example of good use of human. Here is a physician by the name of Ben Carson. He gave his opinions on various topics and used humor to make the content more palatable.

So as we work on sermon, lessons and other forms of communication, see how humor can aide in improving the sharing of the message. If you have anything to add to this comment, please do so in the comment section of this blog.
