Last night, I competed in a speech contest in Toastmasters. I did well because my two competitors were too long, and there are automatically disqualified. I really hate it when I win by default, rather than by ability.

I get some good suggestions on appearance when competing on the next level of the contest. I was told I need to dress more professionally. That includes wearing more stylish shoes. If I wear pants they need to have creases in them. The member of my club suggested that I wear earrings and items that help me look more feminine. It was also just as I wear makeup and maybe additional jewelry.

The competition coming up next month also gives me more opportunity to practice and refine my phrasing of my current speech. For the subject matter of the speech, please see the blog this last Monday.
